The ceremony
A full academic ceremonial.
ZCU commencement is held as a formal academic ceremonial: processional, invocation, conferral of earned degrees, honorary conferrals, and the charge to the graduating class. Regalia is navy and gold, with doctoral hooding performed on stage.
This next commencement adds something we have never done before — the very first Zoe Christian University Awards Ceremony, honoring the students, faculty, and community partners whose service moved the work forward.

What happens on the day.
Ceremony 02
Conferral of Earned Degrees
Bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees are conferred by the Chancellor's office and recorded on the official register.
Ceremony 03
Honorary Doctorate Conferral
Honorary Christian doctorates are conferred only for verified community action and service hours, read aloud with the honoree's service record.
Ceremony 04
First-Ever ZCU Awards Ceremony
Our inaugural awards night recognizing service, leadership, scholarship, and ministry impact across the ZCU community.
Participation Requirement
20 service hours to walk.
Every graduate — earned degree or honorary — must complete and prove a minimum of 20 hours of community service to participate in the degree ceremony. Your degree is still conferred without it, but walking the stage is reserved for those who have served.
Minimum

Hours may be served at your church, a school, a shelter, or any nonprofit serving your community.
Proof
Signed verification
A log of dates, hours, and the population served, signed by a supervisor at the organization.
Deadline
30 days before the ceremony
Submit your log to the registrar so your name can be added to the processional program.
Reserve your place
December 5, 2026.
Add your name and we will send your ceremony schedule, the awards nominations window, guest ticketing details, and regalia deadlines for December 5.
